Summer carnival delights in Kentville

June 02, 2018

KENTVILLE - An organization that grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses is getting a boost from a Kings County business.

The second annual Capital Paper Summer Carnival in support of Make-a-Wish was hosted at the Centennial Arena in Kentville June 2.

“This year it’s been steady,” said Capital Paper marketing co-ordinator Priscilla Couture.

“It’s huge.”

Variety was the name of the game at the carnival. The event featured live music, carnival games, snacks, a barbecue, inflatable bouncers, and photo ops with Pikachu and Catboy.

The goal was to create an event that raised funds for an organization that regularly makes a difference in the lives of local families. The carnival idea seemed like a fitting way to make this happen, Couture said.

“If you’re raising money for a kids’ charity why not make the kids a part of it?”

Capital Paper is a distributor of packaging products. The company’s inaugural summer carnival fundraiser was host in Centreville.
